The Art of Relating: Pathways to Expression
A 3-Day Retreat for Women | 3rd Annual
Expressing ourselves in relationship is an art—one that deepens with time, presence, and care.
The Art of Relating: Pathways to Expression is a nourishing, heart-centered retreat guided by relationship coach, author, and artist Joëlle Lydon. Now in its third year at Wiawaka, this retreat invites women to step out of the pace of everyday life and into a slower, more intentional space for reflection, creativity, and connection.
Rooted in Joëlle’s long-standing work with women and relationships—and inspired by her book Unbreakable Us: Removing the Barriers to Love—this three-day experience supports participants in exploring how they relate to themselves, to others, and to the lives they are creating.
Through guided conversation, gentle teaching, intentional creativity, movement, and time in nature, women are invited to reconnect with their inner wisdom and authentic expression. No artistic experience is required—only curiosity and a willingness to show up as you are.
The retreat unfolds within a spacious, supportive container that honors rest, reflection, and meaningful connection. There are no lectures or performances—just thoughtful dialogue, creative exploration, laughter, quiet moments by the lake, and shared presence with other women who value personal growth and relational depth.
Think cozy layers, art supplies, journaling, circle-based connection, and unstructured time to walk the grounds, sit by the water, or simply rest.
Women leave feeling more grounded, clear, and connected—with renewed self-trust and a deeper capacity to express themselves in relationship, life, and work.
